Hey there. My name is Grace Anne, the girl, mind, and camera behind A Traveler's Bliss. You might wonder what inspired the journey I am on. Let me tell you a short story...
In summer 2011, I was lucky enough to go on a school trip to Italy and Greece for two weeks. It was the best two weeks of my life - the food, the adventure, and of course, the freedom. I felt so connected with the people I met and truly felt I was where I was meant to be. At the end of the trip everyone was ready to go back home and I wasn't. I wasn't ready to leave the world I had just discovered and the lifestyle I had gotten to love. I was incredibly brokenhearted to leave but somehow I knew it wasn't "goodbye" forever, just "see you soon". So I fell hard for wanderlust and the desire to one day live out of my suitcase once more. Summer 2015 I spent five amazing weeks down under in Australia. I went for a three week study abroad photography program with CIS Abroad and then stayed after with family and traveled some more. It was an incredible and life changing experience filled with great times, fantastic photography, and even better people.
The following spring, I spent the best six months living in the heart of London for a semester abroad. Every day was an unexpected adventure and every weekend was full of endless possibilities. With good friends by my side, I traveled across the countryside and across Europe living on trains, planes, and buses.
In May 2017 I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Photography and a minor in Art History. After graduation, everyday will be a new adventure.
My latest adventure, began in April 2018, when I packed my bags and moved to Ireland for the year to live and work abroad. On my days off I would travel around Ireland or book trips to different parts of Europe to travel and experience as much as possible during my year abroad. While abroad I traveled to sixteen countries - including all of Scandinavia.
My dream, passion, and goal in life is to be a travel photographer. I love to meet new people, discover new places, and try new things. I am always up for an adventure and I am not afraid of taking a risk or getting lost.
